Gateway Motel Carnarvon

Lamp had wiring exposed on bed , other lamp no globe , curtains mismatched and tucked over curtain rod and not attached , food crumbs between mattress and base , was told by other traveller to make sure nothing in car as had things stolen before . Saw management next morning but couldn’t care less said will speak to the cleaners and your room must have had a fight in it . Asked for a discount but no , next time you stay here mention it ! For $140. Your dreaming mate !

This place was horrible, mould on the walls, filthy beds and rooms, bugs on you in the bed, cockroaches all through the room, filthy showers with hair from previous stays on the floor, ended up with ring worm from the disgusting beds, if I ever stay here again will have to wear a full one pierce latex suit

This establishment has been around for over 30 years, and although still well run, some of the decor could do with a refresh. Still value for money and would stay again and recommend to others.

We had 3 stops to make it to Coral Bay. This hotel was the least in price but surprisingly the cleanest with the most friendliest staff who went above and beyond for us. Rooms had everything you needed for a comfortable stay.Food was also great.Would choose here again on our way through any day.

Thanks to the amazing lady at the reception. If it wasn't for her I would have gone to bed hungry after I was rudely turned away from the Carnarvon hote restaurant as I arrived at 8:00pm and their kitchen closes at 8:30pm, 7 days a week according to the sign outside. The food is amazing. Service even better. I cannot recommend the Gateway Motel highly enough.

We broke down in Carnarvon and needed to find accommodation last minute. The team were very helpful and provided great services. The rooms are basic but had exactly what we needed for a single night. They even had a buffet dinner on site that meant we didn't need to walk anywherefor meals. Thanks very much for all your help.

We were travelling from central Queensland to Karratha WA, and by far this was the worst accommodation that we have, carpet was like the one of a pub, there was ants on the beds and the smell of the room was disgusting, there was a bugga on the sofa. The pool look like a scary movie one, the worst experience in the hole entire trip

Expect to treat your palate to NOTHING! I don’t know how you can take the seafood out of seafood. No way of making past the front line to check it out until you’ve paid the bucks. I have never had a blue swimmer that had zero seafood flavour. Couldn’t get through a half & I had 2 on my plate. Prawns were the same disappointment that they’ve been throughput WA. Poorly thawed frozen chewy lumps . The oysters were actually lovely in flavour but prepare yourself for the size. Huge. They were the pick of the seafood. The rest of the buffet was ordinary. Our favourite thing of the night was a green jelly topped desert and a bake at home roll. Trust me, I’m being generous in my review. I think a can of braised steak and onions would have disappointed less.
